Happy Mothers Day to all the wonderful mothers and the "Like a mother to me" mothers in the Marin City community. You are a blessing to your children and we, as a big family, pray that you have a blessed day.

April 17th report. There was a good turnout for the Volunteer Recognition Luncheon hosted by the Marin City Community Services District.  Almost thirty committed volunteers were recognized for their faithful service to the Marin City community. Most of the recipients live outside of the close-knit community, but feel a real connection to the residents there and they are proud to walk along side of the leaders and the rest of the community.

May 3rd Marin-Ghana Exchange Fundraiser hosted by Facilitating Change.

The Facilitating Change organization, created by Mickael "Kofi" Tabb, hosted the Marin-Ghana Exchange fundraiser. It was a success with a good turnout and funds raised to ensure that 140 children in Ghana will have a breakfast through the Ghana Children's Breakfast Club on their way to school and get to experience the After School Art Program on their way home. The music and time spent with old friends and new friends was very memorable. Marin City leaders and other residence and others from around Marin came out to show their support of this very worthy cause. Plasticfreemarin.org and others came together to send 300 stainless steel mugs for children to use instead of the plastic bags currently being used. To support the children of Ghana, please click on the QR code on the flyer or here for more info: mailto:info@facilitating-change.org
