CTTT There is no Come to the Table event this month. The steering and planning committee is taking this month off to get caught up on preparing for future events. The next one will be September 13th on the topic of incarceration. It will be called, Incarceration: Bent, not Broken. The October subject is Implicit Bias and Internalized Racism. Knowing CPR is so important. It truly can mean life or death. Pumping the chest when someone’s heart is not working keeps the necessary blood flowing to the brain before paramedics arrive. Without blood flow, cells can start dying within 4-5 minutes and irreversible damage can occur within 7-8 minutes.

My wife helped save her friend’s life a few years ago by doing CPR for long enough for the paramedics to arrive. Her friend would have die or had severe brain damage had she and her friends not known what to do. They took turns pumping her chest the way they were taught. For the love of your friends and family, please learn CPR.

Basketball camp in Prague
Play Marin’s Paul Austin and MCCT’s Shannon Bynum took a group of sixteen young men to Prague, the capital City of the Czech Republic for a once in a lifetime trip to participate in a basketball camp that was also a life changing experience.
